Lisa Powell to Lead South Central Chapter of CIArb, Advancing Excellence in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution
ATLANTA—(March 21, 2025)—FisherBroyles, LLP, the world’s first and one of the largest distributed law firms, and the only nontraditional firm to be ranked in The Am Law 200, is proud to share that Partner Lisa Powell has been named the 2025 Chair of the South Central Chapter of the North American Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). A fellow of CIArb since 2017, Powell is an accomplished trial lawyer with experience representing clients in a wide range of dispute resolution settings, both domestically and internationally.
CIArb is the world’s largest community of private dispute resolution professionals, with more than 17,500 members across 150 jurisdictions. Founded in 1915 and granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth in 1979, CIArb is an independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating effective alternative dispute resolution (ADR) internationally. The South Central Chapter, which encompasses Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas, plays a vital role in the advancement of CIArb’s mission in the region.
Powell has a diverse litigation practice that spans state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts and arbitral tribunals, and is known for tailoring dispute resolution strategies to meet her clients’ specific business objectives. Her broad-based experience allows her to bring a unique perspective to each case, making her a trusted advisor in complex disputes.

As Chair, Powell will serve as the primary representative of the South Central Chapter, working alongside CIArb members to promote the organization’s mission and advocate for the widespread use of arbitration and ADR. She will help lead efforts with the North American Branch to develop strategic initiatives that enhance the growth of the South Central chapter and strengthen its role within the broader ADR community.
