Biography
Mr. Fisher brings a unique combination of domestic and international corporate expertise, as well as domestic and international technology transaction expertise, to FisherBroyles. He has extensive experience with legal issues surrounding domestic and international intellectual property protection; the development, licensing, and distribution of goods and technology; mergers and acquisitions; and general corporate transactions. He has significant experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of domestic and international agreements, including development, licensing, and distribution agreements as well as consulting, outsourcing, and other services-related agreements in a multi-jurisdictional, multicultural environment.
Mr. Fisher has been practicing law since 1993, and has negotiated deals involving Latin America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, Asia, and the Middle East. Prior to starting FisherBroyles in 2002, Mr. Fisher was in the Corporate, International, and Technology practice groups of Holland & Knight, LLP, and in the Technology practice group of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. He also spent four years in the International practice group of Baker & McKenzie in its Caracas, Venezuela, New York City, and Dallas offices.
Mr. Fisher has taught classes on international technology transactions at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and has authored articles and presentations on international and technology-related matters including: Selected Issues on International Technology Transactions; Foreign Deals: 10 Traps for the Unwary in an International Transaction, COMPETITIVE EDGE, JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2003; and The Extraterritorial Reach of U.S. Export Controls, CURRENTS: INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW JOURNAL, Summer 1996.
Mr. Fisher was also recently recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as being among the 50 most influential attorneys who help shape and guide Atlanta’s legal industry.
