Adam Abramowitz and Phillip Maroc Named Firm Partners
ATLANTA—(December 19, 2024)—FisherBroyles, LLP, the world’s first and one of the largest distributed law firms, and the only nontraditional law firm to be ranked in The Am Law 200, has expanded its partner bench with the addition of highly regarded attorneys Adam Abramowitz and Phillip Maroc. Abramowitz will join the firm’s private client services practice, while Maroc will strengthen FisherBroyles’ corporate practice, with a focus on technology and privacy law.
Abramowitz, based in Washington, D.C., is a veteran in trusts and estates and private client services, with nearly 15 years of experience in comprehensive estate planning, trust administration and charitable gift planning. His practice is focused on developing long-term strategies for families, including asset protection, family legacy preservation and navigating complex family dynamics. With extensive knowledge in trust and estate litigation, Abramowitz is adept at representing both beneficiaries and fiduciaries, advocating for clients with both legal and practical solutions.
“I am thrilled to be joining FisherBroyles, a firm that stands for its innovative and client-focused approach,” said Abramowitz. “The firm’s distributed model fosters flexibility and collaboration, creating an ideal environment to offer clients personalized, proactive solutions tailored to their evolving needs in estate planning and litigation. Whether it’s protecting family wealth across generations or resolving complex trust disputes, I look forward to leveraging FisherBroyles’ dynamic platform to provide clients with practical, forward-thinking counsel.”
Maroc joins FisherBroyles in Palo Alto, California, with more than 30 years of legal experience, including nearly 24 years spent in-house. Specializing in privacy, data security and technology law, he is a recognized authority on navigating the legal complexities of rapidly evolving technology sectors. His knowledge spans fields such as artificial intelligence, data privacy, international licensing and commercial transactions. Maroc holds certifications in both U.S. and European data privacy law (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) and is also a certified AI Governance Professional.
“FisherBroyles offers a dynamic platform for providing legal solutions that seamlessly integrates technology, law and business strategy,” said Maroc. “I’m pleased to join such an innovative firm, where I can continue to work with clients in managing complex data privacy and technology challenges, positioning them for future growth while ensuring compliance with an ever-changing regulatory landscape.”
Jess Bahs, the practice group leader for both new partners, welcomed the additions: “We are incredibly honored to have Adam and Phillip join our team. Adam’s experience in estate planning and litigation, combined with his focus on long-term client relationships, will be a tremendous asset to our growing private client services group. Similarly, Phillip’s knowledge in technology and privacy law, especially in the rapidly developing areas of AI and data security, strengthens our ability to serve clients in these critical areas of business.”
The hiring of Abramowitz and Maroc underscores FisherBroyles’ continued strategic expansion and commitment to providing high-quality legal services across a broad range of industries. As the only nontraditional law firm ranked in The Am Law 200, FisherBroyles continues to redefine the law firm model by offering clients top-tier legal expertise without the overhead inefficiencies of traditional firms.
