Brown Again Recognized as a Top Attorney in Michigan for Her Work in Employment Law
DETROIT—(December 29, 2025)—FisherBroyles, LLP, the world’s first and one of the largest distributed law firms, is proud to announce that Katie Brown, partner and chair of the firm’s employment practice, has been included among Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Michigan’s Go To Lawyers for the second consecutive year.
Brown has been recognized in each of the three instances Michigan Lawyers Weekly has highlighted employment practitioners (2021, 2024, 2025). She was also included among the 25 attorneys on Michigan’s Go To Lawyers Power List in 2024 for her exceptional work and leadership.
Michigan’s Go To Lawyers program identifies and recognizes top attorneys across the state in various practice areas as nominated by their peers. The designation is awarded based on experience, expertise and a track record of success. The Power List is chosen by a committee of top lawyers from across the state who practice in various areas on both plaintiff and defense sides.
Brown’s ongoing recognition highlights her extensive employment law experience and proactive approach with clients, helping them mitigate legal risks while finding compliant, lasting resolutions.
“My deepest thanks go to my peers, who chose to again recognize me as one of Michigan’s Go To Lawyers in Employment for 2025, among some of the state’s top employment attorneys,” said Brown. “This honor is evidence of the strong relationships I have forged on both sides of disputes while providing exceptional work to clients. It is often a team effort, with our outstanding employment practice group across the country providing national and international-based clients a wide array of legal counsel. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented attorneys.”
As chair of FisherBroyles’ employment practice, Brown works with clients across a myriad of industries, including automotive, corporate, health care, education, nonprofit and financial services. She advises businesses on creating compliant contracts, policies and procedures, and negotiates compensation, stock and severance agreements. Brown is also known for helping clients avoid litigation through proactive risk management, internal audits and employee training.
With 19 partners across the United States and Mexico, FisherBroyles’ employment practice is a central focus of its business, providing expert legal counsel to businesses navigating the complexities of employment law.
