Biography
Sarah Broder’s practice covers all aspects of estates and trusts, including the preparation of essential documents for wealth, asset and beneficiary protection, succession planning, and charitable gift planning techniques.
With a background in family law, she has extensive experience in drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as in trust administration and probate matters. Her practice also includes fiduciary litigation. In addition, she is highly skilled in preparing orders to divide retirement assets in the context of divorce, including Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), as well as those involving private employer-sponsored plans governed by ERISA, Federal government pensions, Thrift Savings Plans, and military pensions.
With an acute ability to listen and interpret their needs, Sarah helps clients craft tailored estate plans, from complex high-net-worth strategies and business succession planning for smooth ownership and leadership transitions, to more straightforward advice. She focuses on understanding and addressing her clients’ goals and concerns, putting them at ease and ensuring they feel confident in the planning process, while understanding how it will help them avoid common pitfalls.
Sarah began her legal career in family law before discovering her passion for estate planning, ultimately building a successful estate planning practice within a family law firm. Drawing on this experience, Sarah is passionate about managing family dynamics and working towards family harmony while honoring her clients’ legacy goals.
