Biography

Ying Chen’s practice area covers general corporate, complex commercial litigation, represents overseas creditors’ rights in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, and as well as eDiscovery service. She represents Chinese corporations doing business with or in the U.S. and provides legal services to U.S. corporations doing business with or in China. As a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, and with years of experience practicing law in China, Ying is able to interpret and explain the special issues facing Chinese entities doing business with and/or in the U.S., and vice versa. Ying has significant experience handling mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence investigations, including the pre-IPO DD reports on the U.S. subsidiaries of Chinese corporations going public in China. Ying works with clients to draft, negotiate and review various transaction documents, such as arbitration agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, supply agreements, and shareholder agreements.

Outside of work, Ying likes to spend time with her family members. She enjoys cooking and baking.
